B2B Customer Portals

B2B customer portals and ecommerce that run off your ERP.

We build the applications your customers actually use: portals and commerce connected to the ERP you already run, secure enough for regulated products, simple enough that nobody calls for help. Twenty years of designing, building, and integrating customer experiences for small businesses and Fortune 500 enterprises alike.

B2B companies we have built for

What we build

Customer portals

Your customers stop calling to ask where an order is, what they paid last time, or whether a quote went through. They sign in and see it, at the prices you negotiated with them, and your reps get those hours back.

  • Account-specific pricing, quotes, and approval chains
  • Order, shipment, and rental-fleet tracking
  • Licensure and eligibility checks enforced before a sale

B2B ecommerce

Orders arrive priced correctly instead of as emails and faxes somebody re-keys. We build the reorder, quoting, punchout, and net-terms flows on Drupal Commerce, Adobe Commerce, or the B2B layer of Shopify and BigCommerce, and custom where those platforms stop.

  • Drupal Commerce, Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify B2B, BigCommerce B2B, or custom
  • Punchout catalogs and EDI for procurement buyers
  • Tax, shipping, and payment terms your finance team already uses

ERP integration

Your ERP already holds the prices, the customers, and the stock. The portal reads them and writes approved orders back, so nobody maintains a second catalog and nobody re-keys an order that was already placed.

  • Any ERP with an API, from NetSuite and Acumatica to Epicor, Infor, Dynamics 365, and SAP Business One
  • Two-way sync on a schedule you set, tested in a sandbox first
  • Built so an AI agent works through the same rules a person does

When to build, and when not to

Three situations justify a custom build, and we have delivered all three. Outside them, the portal your ERP or commerce platform already ships will do the job, and we will say so rather than sell you a build you do not need.

Your rules have to be enforced at the platform level

Government buyers purchase through approvals and purchase orders, and a regulated product cannot be sold to an account without a current license. NARMD checks DEA registration and state licensure before a purchase and blocks the account when a license lapses.

How NARMD opened the government channel

Your ERP stays the source of truth

When a portal keeps its own copy of prices and stock, the two drift, and a customer buys at a number you retired last quarter. NARMD pulls its catalog and price levels from the ERP every few minutes, so the portal cannot show a price the ERP does not hold.

The ERP runs the portal

Your offering is more than a cart

A customer who tracks a rented fleet, compares medical refrigeration units, or requests a quote on a configured product needs a working application behind the login. Mobile Mini saw a 500% increase in customer use of its new portal, and Helmer's platform lifted sales 35%.

Nine years with Mobile Mini

Customer portals for the ERP you run

Your ERP stays the system of record, and the portal is the experience your customers use on top of it. Every ERP below exposes an API or an integration layer, so the work has the same shape on each of them.

NetSuite

A NetSuite customer portal that goes past SuiteCommerce, with contract pricing, approvals, and reorder on the records NetSuite already holds.

Acumatica

An Acumatica customer portal for distributors, with customer-specific price lists, quotes, and order status.

Epicor

Epicor ecommerce and customer portals for manufacturers, with configured products, dealer pricing, and order tracking.

Infor

Infor customer portals for dealer networks, with catalog, pricing, and orders synced both ways.

Dynamics 365

Dynamics 365 and Business Central customer portals beyond Power Pages, with your rules and your data model on your own front door.

SAP Business One

SAP Business One customer portals for manufacturers, with price lists, approvals, and orders written back into B1.

How an engagement runs

  1. 1

    Scope

Two weeks at a fixed price. We read the ERP export, the price lists, and the rules, then put a price and a date in writing.

  2. 2

    Design

Working screens in Storybook, signed off by your team before anyone writes production code.

  3. 3

    Build

Eight to sixteen weeks, US development team, and a person reviewed every line before it shipped.

  4. 4

    Integrate

Two-way ERP sync, tested against your live data in a sandbox your ERP administrator controls.

  5. 5

    Launch

Cutover with your customers' logins intact, then a retainer that keeps it current.

Proof

B2B commerce, shipped

We have built portals and commerce platforms for North American Rescue, Mobile Mini, Helmer Scientific, and InkJet, most of them on Drupal, and every one is in production today. Mobile Mini's won the Acquia Engage Award for Best Return on Investment in 2018.

Security, on the record

Helmer Scientific's platform passed a 2024 PCI assessment, repeated penetration-testing cycles, and Trane Technologies' acquisition due diligence in 2023. NARMD runs under its government customer's continuous security scans, with findings fixed within 48 hours.

Nine-year relationships

We have worked with Mobile Mini since 2017, through four marketing teams, three CEOs, and a merger, and with Helmer Scientific since 2017, including through Trane Technologies' acquisition of the company.

Code your engineers can read

Greenroom, the review-and-sign-off gate we build with, is open source. Your team reads the code before you hire us.

Frequently asked questions

Should we build a custom portal or use what our ERP ships?

Use what ships first. For a simple catalog with list pricing, the portal your ERP or commerce platform includes is the right answer. Build custom when your rules must be enforced at the platform level, when the ERP must stay the source of truth with two-way sync, or when your customers need more than a cart. We will tell you which of those you are on the first call.

Can you build a customer portal on NetSuite, Acumatica, or Epicor?

Yes. Every one of those exposes an API or an integration layer, so the work has the same shape on each of them, with products, customers, and price lists flowing out to the portal and approved orders flowing back in. We scope against your own instance and your own data before we quote a number.

How long does a B2B customer portal take?

Scoping takes two weeks, and builds run 8 to 16 weeks depending on how many integrations the portal carries. The launch date usually depends on ERP access and data cleanup on your side, so we start both of those in week one.

What does a B2B customer portal cost?

A portal on your ERP runs $30,000 to $80,000. A full B2B commerce platform with configurators, punchout, and several integrations runs $80,000 to $250,000. We quote against the roadmap you expect to build over the next eighteen months, so the price covers the work you actually have in front of you.

Do you build punchout catalogs and EDI?

Yes, when your customers' procurement systems require it. A punchout catalog lets a buyer shop your live catalog from inside Ariba, Coupa, or their ERP and send the cart back as a requisition. EDI carries the purchase orders, acknowledgments, and invoices that larger accounts insist on.

Can AI buying agents use the portal?

Yes, if it is built that way. McFadyen Digital's September 2026 review of the agent commerce protocols found that none represent contract pricing, account hierarchy, entitlements, approval chains, purchase orders, or net terms, so an agent can only buy from you through a layer that does. We build the portal so an agent works through the same rules a person does, with a human sign-off wherever you want one.

Do you have regulated commerce experience?

Yes. North American Rescue sells regulated tactical medical products through government procurement, with licensure checks enforced before a sale. Helmer Scientific sells medical refrigeration through an integrated platform that passed a PCI assessment and acquisition due diligence. HIPAA-compliant software development is a named capability; see the telehealth practice.

What happens after launch?

A retainer keeps the portal current: ERP upgrades, price-list changes, new products, security patches, and the features your customers ask for next. The clients on this page have been with us for nine years, through mergers and acquisitions, because the portal kept working.

Bring the price list.

Send the ERP export, the price lists, and the rules your customers have to follow. We will show you what your portal looks like on the first call.
